For starters, the titles explains itself. This is where you will be learning the things you are allowed to do and the things you aren't allowed to do. Take this seriously because it's all very important.
These are all very simple:
1. Follow and respect the turn order that is given to all participants.
-First person to post is the beginner of the post, followed by the second, third, and so on. And it will alternate through that order. An example: first, second, third, first, second, third...
2. Use proper grammar:
-Please, for the sake of sanity, use correct wording and spell things correctly. Nobody likes it when there are people misspelling things like crazy. If you need help spelling something, don't be afraid to ask.
3. Stats:
-Please post your stats in the correct thread, and make sure they are done appropriately. You will have an example done for you to show what you are supposed to do.
4. God mod:
-This is the forbidden deed where you control absolutely everything that happens in a thread. As in, you control what everyone does, including other players. If you are seen doing this, then you will have severe punishment!
5. Auto hits/victories:
-You need to give your opponent enough time to react to your attack. There is a 48 hour rule where you can auto hit the other player if they don't post within that time frame without a valid reason. Auto victories is explained the same way pretty much. If the one who is supposed to post doesn't for days without a valid reason, then you will automatically be the winner.
6. Incoming hits:
-Now, this is where many people try to bend things. If you are dodging attacks that are point-blank, you should be hit and potentially damaged. Be mature and responsible for your actions.
7. The team:
-If you are in a team, you must be sure to take them into high consideration. Don't be a hero if you are like the weakest one there. The only heroes should be the ones that are last standing while all others are too weak to continue.
Some more rules to acknowledge:
1. Posting format:
-When you are posting, be sure that it is in a novel form. It can be first person, or in third person. A couple of examples for the right and wrong way: Wrong- *Lucy kicked the ball out of the field* <---when you are making your posts, be sure to not use this kind of posting. Like the example below, you need to put in fuller sentences that clearly display what's going on.
Your work and all of our work is story-based. Example of the right way: Lucy took her turn in the game of kickball. She stood right at home plate as the pitcher rolled the ball toward her. It was time to show them what she had. She got a good start and kicked the ball, resulting in it flying over the fence and out of the field. <---Not only is this form correct, you get more word count that you need.
2. Displaying thoughts and dialogue:
-This may come up as a problem for some people, so I shall explain it. We'll go over the display of thoughts first. These should be done in either italics, or bold when being brought up. They are done in first-person, nothing else. There is the exception of using the apostrophe on each side of the sentence of thought. I am okay with that, I've seen it many times so no worries there.
Now for dialogue, this has a few things to it as well. You can simply use the quotation marks on each side of the speaking sentence, which should be in a form of first-person where you, or an NPC, are/is speaking. Second, you can simply display the dialogue in a color and showing how one is speaking. I can accept this, just make sure it is visible. Third, you can use both quotations and color to the speaking part. All of these are, or should, be very accepted on this site.
This is one of the threads that will be undergoing changes. Additions to the rules, or some things may be tossed out. Everything will be thought out until it is complete. Remember, I want all of you to have fun, have new experiences, and be able to gain some kind of responsibility.
